A quiet impulse

A long day with a successful workshop and a colorful country presentation came to an end. After a long trip, I felt really tired and wanted to go to bed, as the next day would bring many more kilometers on the road. But my heart gave me a silent impulse: "Go and meet the volunteers from all over the world again for a few encounters! " So I sat down with them. I could feel their joy at my arrival. A long conversation about our being human and about God developed.
When most of them had already gone to sleep, a young volunteer began to express all her distress. She was facing a decision and did not know how to decide. We talked for a long time. We examined the question from all sides. In the end, I asked her if she had a personal relationship with God. She had lost touch with Him. But our honest interaction led her to say at the end: "You know, I have lost sight of God, but tonight, in our conversation, something has dawned on me that was very important to me as a child. I will start praying again."
