God hides himself in bread so that we can let it touch our hearts and become bread for one another. - I had decided to spend the day with my mother, who is over 90 years old. When I arrived at her house, I had the idea to find out whether her parish's Corpus Christi procession, which she hadn't been able to attend for a long time, was being streamed live. I found the stream. She followed the inner and outer steps of the procession with passion and enthusiasm and was very happy. I listened to the stream as well, doing a few household tasks that needed to be done. When Mum rested after lunch, I used the time to tidy up and clean a few things on her terrace. After a cup of tea together and a piece of cake that I had brought with me, we went for a short drive to her favourite places. When I said goodbye late in the afternoon, I felt a great sense of joy in my heart. Together and for each other, we had lived the secret of the feast day, receiving bread and being for each other.
