He was still young, but already felt a deep hunger for life and for God. He had taken part in a project called ‘navi4life’ involving young people, where he had performed his role brilliantly and shared his personal experiences. A few days later, I met him at his school during the same project. During a group exercise, he had noticed a classmate whom no one had helped to bring his questions about God into the conversation. “But I felt his openness and his honest hunger!” the young man told me. The following Sunday, a church service in a tent was held for young people. I invited the young man to come. He came and said: “Last night I felt an impulse to come to the tent service to pray for my classmate on his search for meaning in life!” As we formulated our intercessions and dropped small grains of incense onto a piece of charcoal, I could sense how deeply this young man was praying for his classmate. I was deeply moved.
