I had known her for many years. By now, she was travelling alone with her young son. Her relationship had broken down. I had sent her little greetings from time to time. She lived by the daily mottos from the go4peace app. Sometimes she would respond briefly. During Advent, I received a note saying, ‘I am deeply grateful to you for everything you have given me over the years – consciously or unconsciously, personally or through the go4peace app. Today, I am the woman, the disciple of Jesus, that I am – also because of you.’ My heart is filled with gratitude. I pray for a moment. Then the day continues, because the message is clear: ‘We can always love!’
