Just a curtain rail

A curtain rail had fallen off the ceiling at the end of one day when I was visiting my mum. I had just come out of the cellar. She was standing desperately in the room with the curtain hanging from the ceiling in her hand. The curtain blind had been torn for some time. I unscrewed the 50-year-old rail from the ceiling and tried to make a quick fix. It remained a temporary solution. Two days later, I bought a new curtain rail from a DIY store and managed to anchor it under the old ceiling. My sister called and we bought ready-made blinds from a DIY store. By the evening, everything was repaired to our mum's joy. The curtain ran smoothly in the track. Five days later, I heard on the phone: "Every evening I pull the curtain closed with joy. It works so well. And in the morning it's a joy when I can open it again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You've made me really happy!"
