Meeting each other

We came from different worlds and met at a seminar – she from North Africa, I from Europe, she young and I older, she a Muslim, I a Christian, she a participant in the seminar, I a keynote speaker... what we had in common was a deep desire to live in lively fellowship with many people, building bridges across barriers. We sat down to dinner. She let me know how enthusiastic she was about the ‘navi4life’ project and the logbook ‘My Life – Windswept and Brilliant’ and how enriching she had found all my shared experiences. ‘Lots of people need to hear about this, including in my country. You have to share it on social media. Because – especially now during Ramadan – I scroll through my mobile phone for half an hour every morning and every evening. And I briefly look at everything that appeals to me and interests me. It all happens very quickly. But that's how our life is today. And when we trust someone on the internet, we want to read everything that this one person, whom we happened to meet online, has to say!" I looked into the bright, life-hungry, trusting and hopeful eyes of a young person. ‘If you want, I can help you with all of that, because it needs to be well planned.’ Full of questions and full of trust, I looked at my young conversation partner. I am interested to see what will develop from this encounter.
