I visited a school to present our navi4life project. 25 years ago, in the Holy Year 2000, I walked through the Holy Door together with the religion teacher at World Youth Day in Rome. That connected us. Shortly before I left, she smiled at me: ‘I really need to share something with you!’ Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take part in your ‘24 hours connected’ campaign on Palm Sunday, when you made it possible to build bridges to Ukraine. But I was able to get a young colleague interested. When I met her again after Easter, she told me that she had not only shared 30 minutes with someone from Ukraine but three hours with a big family. Everyone had introduced himself oder herself and were deeply happy about this bridge-building. As the young teacher came from Kazakhstan, she also spoke Russian. So she was able to understand all the suffering of the Ukrainian family and take it deep into her heart.“
