On the eve of Pentecost, I had the honour of being with 40 young people. The topic was the experience of the Holy Spirit. We looked at a tree that was moving in the wind. It was immediately clear to everyone: just as we see the leaves moving in the wind without seeing the wind - as the mover - so it is with the Holy Spirit. We can notice the effects, but not the “'initiator of the effects”', the Holy Spirit. I then showed the young people two YouTube shorts in which young people tell an experience that illustrates a gift of the Spirit. Everyone listened with great interest. At the end of our time together, I invited the young people: "Those of you who have the impression that God - in the power of his Spirit - is at work in his or her life, should simply raise your hand. Those who are completely convinced can raise their hand high, those who believe a little can hold it in the middle and those who don't believe can simply leave it down." One girl hesitated a little and then held her hand up a little. Later I heard from her mum: "My daughter just came to me and told me very enthusiastically: 'Mum, until now I always had the impression that I didn't believe. But today I heard something great and realised that the Holy Spirit is also working in my life. I couldn't keep my hand down any longer, but raised it a little."
