Two wounded hearts

Since the tragic death of a teenager who had been hit by a bus whilst riding his bike, the company’s management had not yet contacted the mother of the deceased boy, who had come to our country as a refugee. She now lives alone with her remaining children. The young mother suffered greatly because of the silence. So I invited both sides to a meeting with me, as I could sense how necessary it was to talk in a safe and protected space and to face one another honestly – despite all the pain. In an atmosphere of great silence at the start, I was able to build bridges between the two sides, transcending religious boundaries. We spoke to one another for a long time. The next day, I received a message from the mother: “Thank you so much! You have truly helped me and my heart!” Beneath it all, two wounded hearts.
