You gave me courage!
We were at the Cathedral Tower in Paderborn during the Libori festival (July 26 – August 3, 2025) with the experience course “navi4life – Navigate Yourself into Life!”. Archbishop Dr. Udo Markus Bentz smiled and said: “You are really standing in the wind here!” Yes, it is the windiest corner of the Cathedral – and many Libori pilgrims were “blown” past us. More than 180 young people, adults, and also children already walked the 10-minute course and were excited. A young woman said: “I found my way! – You really encouraged me. Keep going!” A priest added: “This is not only for young people – I also got new ideas for my life.” A superintendent said after walking through the four rooms with his wife: “You created a place here at the Libori festival where people can think about their own life. Impressive. Thank you!”
At the end of each day, we gave away a double ticket for the Ferris wheel at the Libori fair. On the first day, a girl with a physical disability won. When we called her, she cried with joy and came the next day with her friends to pick up the prize.
The course leads everyone through four rooms with impressions, panoramas, questions, and tasks. In the Room of Responsibility, participants hear three quotes from famous people. They must choose one and, with the audio guide, are invited to take a photo of the one that speaks most to them. The favorite quote during Libori was from Molière: “You are not only responsible for what you do, but also for what you do not do.” But Yehudi Menuhin’s words also made many think: “Freedom is not to do what you want, but to do what you must.”
Many Libori guests said to us: “How nice that you are here again! I was already looking forward to it. It’s great that we can make little peace messengers and that you set up the course here.” – Yes, it was this inner necessity, as Yehudi Menuhin said, that moved us to be present again for nine days non-stop at Libori.
