A tool in someone else's hand

As carol singers, many motivated children brought much joy to the houses of many people in our town. The next day, half of the children and the organisation team turned up again for the church service. I was able to tease a number of small, joyful experiences out of them. Late in the evening, I received a wonderful message. "Today's service for the carol singers was - thanks to your incredible closeness to the people - a belated Christmas present for me. The talents and gifts given to you by our Lord made the church a centre for the meeting of young and old. Seeing the children standing around the altar for the words of consecration was a bright light for me, like the star above the manger. I felt that God was thankfully blessing everyone in those moments. Keep this deep love for people. You strengthen my faith!"
