As part of a small church ceremony a few weeks ago, I blessed and installed a peace memorial with the children and parents of a daycare centre and baptised a teenager afterwards. The day-care centre team played a great part in the celebration and the wonderful peaceful atmosphere we experienced in the church was carried over to the festival that followed. All the visitors went home at the end of the afternoon with a happy heart. - As I was standing in the checkout lane at a supermarket this morning, a young woman approached me. ‘I know you! You organised the peace service for our daycare centre the other day. That was so great. Thank you for your open and friendly manner. We all felt ‘embraced’! And you can tell. The joy is still there!’
