We had invited young people to our Tiny House for the second time to work with them on a module to get an overview of their own lives. During the break, one girl caught my eye. She was standing a little apart from the others. With a bottle of cola in my hand, I went up to her and offered her a refreshment. We quickly struck up a conversation. She told me about unforeseen difficulties in her life that had set her back. I listened to her attentively. I offered her the image of the springboard and told her: 'When I look at my life, it has helped me not to see difficulties as unconquerable walls, but to see them as a springboard that I can use to get higher and further into life. Then the work in the whole group continued. When we said goodbye at the end, she came back briefly to say thank you. She went home with a smile on her face.
