Heute habe ich mit einem Freund geschrieben. Es ist viel Zeit seit unserem letzten Gespräch vergangen. Sofort begann mein Freund mir zu erzählen, was in den vergangenen Jahren in seinem Leben geschehen ist. Ich konnte fühlen, wie glücklich er war, diese Dinge mit mir zu teilen, weil ich einfach für ihn da war.

Today I was writing with a friend of mine. It has been a very long time since our last conversation. Immediately my friend started to tell me what has been going on in his life the last couple of years. I could feel that he was so happy to share those things with me because I was there for him.
