Gerade haben die Läden geöffnet. Am Kühlaggregat für Milchprodukte steht eine Frau mit asiatischen Wurzeln. Sie streckt sich nach einem Produkt im Regal und kommt nicht dran. Mein Augenblick! Schnell eile ich ihr zur Hilfe, hole die ganze Kiste von oben auf ein für sie erreichbares Level und scherze ein wenig. Am späteren Vormittag, so hatte ich einer Frau versprochen, gehe ich zur Kirche um dort für sie zu beten. Auf dem Weg dorthin erlebe ich, wie ein junger Mann sich mit seinem Auto im Schnee total festgefahren hat. Es gibt kein Vor und Zurück mehr. Mein Augenblick! Ich hole Werkzeug aus dem Keller und über eine halbe Stunde beseitigen wir Eis um sein Fahrzeug. Dann kann er weiter fahren. „Und was bekommen Sie dafür?“ fragt er zum Abschied. Ich lächle ihn an und erwidere: „Machen Sie’s auch so, wenn Sie jemandem in Not begegnen!“ Dankbar fährt er los.

The stores have just opened. A woman with Asian roots is standing at the dairy refrigeration unit. She reaches for a product on the shelf and can't reach it. My moment! I quickly rush to her, get the whole box from the top to a level she can reach, and joke around a bit. Later in the morning, as I had promised a woman, I go to church to pray for her. On the way, I witness a young man getting totally stuck in the snow with his car. There is no more back and forth. My moment! I get tools from the basement and for over half an hour we clear ice around his vehicle. Then he can drive on. "And what do you get for it?" he asks as we say goodbye. I smile at him and reply, "Do the same when you encounter someone in need!" Gratefully, he drives off.
